It didn't take long for the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo5 to make an impact in the compact car market. During July, its first month of release, sales of the hatchback partner to the Aveo increased by nearly a thousand against the same time frame from last year. At first blush, the "whys?" are not hard to figure: The Aveo5 has EPA fuel ratings of 27 mpg/city and 34 mpg/highway and, if you didn't notice, gas prices have been rather high until just lately. Also, the Aveo5 is a true entry-level vehicle with a beginning price of $11,460.

They've been hauling around their Suzuki dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles in other people's pickup trucks for years. Not anymore. Starting a couple weeks ago, the 2 million U.S. owners of Suzuki's bikes, motorcycles and ATVs can get a Suzuki-branded pickup truck, too. The 2009 Suzuki Equator is a rebadged version of Nissan's long-running Frontier compact pickup truck. In fact, the Equator and Frontier are built at the same Smyrna, Tenn., assembly plant.

Kammer Racing is proof that you can't judge a book by its cover. Walking into the storefront speed shop in Huber Heights, you're greeted by walls lined with performance parts and accessories, and there are a number of engines sitting on stands, ready for a customer to drop into his or her ride.
