What would you name as the biggest challenge for Madison Township and what solutions would you as trustee suggest to meet that challenge?

Currently the biggest challenge facing Madison Township is life squad funding. My solution: 1. Eliminate f/t township administrator and give his title as a p/t position to the Road Crew Supervisor. 2. Eliminate cleaning crew at our five room adminstration building. 3. Eliminate overtime pay for road crew by utilizing part time workers. 4. Employees to partially fund insurance premiums 5. Eliminate health insurance reimbursements. Cuts must be made before asking for a levy.

The major issue facing Madison Township is how we are going to continue to fund the current operation of our Fire/EMS. The 2 mill levy will be on the ballot and I feel it is necessary to continue the current level of service while planning for the future. Without this levy, the board will have the challenge of determining serious reductions in this area.
